 FAQs
How are managers and coaches selected ?
Little League has established a process where every year all managers and coaches are appointed for a one year term. In September the Board of Directors is elected and one of it’s duties is to select the Managers and Coaches. There are no incumbency or sonority considerations. We do not consider past won and loss records. The two most important questions the board asks when choosing a candidate are:

1. Would this individual be a good role model for our children?
2. Would this individual respect the players, umpires and the rules and policies of the league?

We do conduct background checks on all volunteers prior to their one year appointment.

How are players assigned to teams?
In Tee Ball no scores are recorded and no standings are kept. All players receive a participation award at the end of the season. Since there exist no competitive advantage in the selection of players, all players are assigned randomly. Friends and neighbors can request to play on the same team.
In AA minors, which employs a pitching machine, the first place team receives a trophy. In order to balance the league the players are randomly assigned to teams. Returning players (8 years old) will return to the same team as they played for in the previous season.

For all other divisions beginning with 9 year old players, a draft is held to select players for each team. Much like the NFL, the first place team from the previous season drafts last while the last place team selects first. All players returning to the same division for a second season are assigned the their previous teams.
